Things You Hide Behind Your Smile

Behind A Smiling Face…We greet people “Good Morning” with a smiling face and after they respond they ask “how are you?” and you say “Fine” with a smiling face regardless of whether you are truly fine or not. Why? Nobody wants to listen to problems…Its too early. What if I tell him or her and I become a trending topic in my neighborhood?

Behind A Smiling Face…We go to church with the best of clothes in our wardrobe and put on a billion dollar-lottery-wining smiling face and dance like David in the bible did. Sunday Service ends and we are out greeting everybody with a blushing face and an enormous showcase of big smile and teeth that if filmed will get us an endorsement deal with Close Up toothpaste. “How far?” and we respond “We thank God oh”. Have you notice that nobody goes further to ask you personal questions? That will be termed as “crossing the line” nowadays. I cannot be dressed like this “swagged from head to toe” and start sharing my personal problems. I no go fall my hand for here jare ..It is well. Nobody go know.

Behind A Smiling Face… How your boo na? and you respond “fine” with that fake smile when really you want to share your problem with someone hoping that you could get advice from them…but you hold back. I don’t want to be laughed at. Word will spread out. After I don make mouth finish about my bae? Let me keep it to myself.

Mixing with a different people in my lifetime has made me to notice that their facial expressions and “automatic” responses are not actually true.

What can be done about it?
Should we then a busybody and cross our line?s

I think We all need to observe and be the listening ear, the tolerant friend, the caring fellow, the ever lending crying shoulder, the non-judgmental padi and be the last resort anyone one can run to share those “innermost” heartbreaking-braindraining-joy zapping issues with.
